How does product design begin?
Once we have a great idea, we need to bring it to life. We firmly believe that every product has to enhance learning, be skills led and tough enough to benefit generations of children for years to come. That means the design and manufacture has to be second to none.
The design process:
Our design process is a collaboration. We work as a team so we can utilise each other’s strengths. We also reach out to industry leaders and influencers to ensure the resources we develop are the best they can be. This will include considerations about both the market and the user, as well as the style and function, so the finished design is carefully balanced. During the development period, we’ll constantly improve the design if needed so that we can be confident that it works perfectly and is robust enough to survive years of use.
We try to test prototypes with our end users too, taking on board their observations and listening to what they want. This allows us to adjust the design as it evolves to ensure that the finished product can’t be bettered.
Every design exercise is a learning experience for us. It can throw up problems that we have to work through to get the results we want. Even the simplest idea requires great attention to detail. It’s not just what you can see that matters – it’s often what you can’t that will turn a mediocre product into a great one.
Our commitment to quality:
Because we’re dedicated to bringing together the very best in expertise and design – and by using a combination of outstanding creativity and unbeatable engineering – we’re able to turn innovative ideas into high quality products. This means that you can be inspired by a range of cutting-edge resources that are definitely a cut-above the rest.
